Sparta Town Board approves Justice Court construction bid

NY SPARTA — Sparta Town Board approves Justice Court bid and equipment financing in June meeting. Supervisor Mark Schuster and council members Bill Smith, Aaron Schreiner, and Mary Ellyn Calabrese (who abstained on the project bid due to conflict) voted to award Genesee Construction Co. a contract for $29,629.28, subject to attorney review. The board also unanimously approved Bond Anticipation Note No. 1 of 2026 for $37,090.00 to refinance an M316 Caterpillar Excavator, as a prior note comes due June 24.
The board approved bills totaling $55,426.53 and held Executive Session on employment matters with no action taken.
